General


1. For how long has FIFE COUNTRY been offering its products by mail order?
Since the company was founded, back in 1888.

Payment and Delivery


1. If I order an item from the catalogue, how long will it take to be delivered?
Most Orders are dispatched to UK addresses within 2-3 days (unless we are out of stock).

2. What is your carriage charge for delivery to a UK address?
For standard delivery, £4.95

3. Do you have an express delivery service?
Yes, we offer a next day delivery service, for orders placed by 12noon Monday to Thursday only, at £8.50.

4. Do you offer a freepost address for me to send my order to you by post?
Yes. Freepost RLTC-AXEX-ZXGK, Fife Country, Cupar, KY14 7QB

5. If an item is not in stock, when will you charge my credit card?
We constantly monitor our stock levels and update the website to reflect these. In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock, then we will continue to process your order, but immediately contact you by phone and/or email to inform you of the stock posiotion. We will credit your card, within 24 hours, for the full amount of any unavailable items.

Overseas Orders


1. How do you calculate the carriage charge on overseas (outwith the UK) orders?

Delivery time and charges, for overseas parcels, are charged in relation to the weight and destination of the parcel, and according to published carrier rates. These charges will be automatically applied to your account, unless you request a prior quotation.

2. Do your prices include UK VAT rates?
Yes at the rate of 20%. Prices to non-EU destinations will be charged after the removal of UK VAT.

3. What payment types do you accept for overseas orders?
Visa, Eurocard Mastercard, Maestro and Cirrus.

Sizing


1. How can I ensure that I provide you with sufficient details to send me the correct shoe size?
Please refer to our SIZING section, on the main menu, for all sizing guidelines.

2. How will I know which clothing size to order?
Please refer to our SIZING section, on the main menu, for all sizing guidelines. If you are in any doubt, we are happy to advise you personally, by calling customer services on 0845 607 6632.

3. What happens if I order an item which does not fit well?
As long as the goods remain unsoiled, you have 3 months in which to decide whether or not you need to return anything to us for exchange/refund. (Naturally, this does not affect your statutory rights). We will then send you a replacement and make a note, for future reference, of your precise fitting requirements.

4. What are the biggest sizes you cater for?
Our largest clothing sizes are XXXL (chest size 56") on many styles for men and size 20 on many ladies styles. Several men's footwear styles are available up to size 13, and ladies footwear up to size 8. We also specialise in wider fitting footwear.

Returns


1.What happens if I need to return something?
Please return your goods, within 60 days of purchase, to our Customer Services Dept at Fife Country, Eden Valley Business Park, CUPAR, Fife, KY15 4RB, using the returns form enclosed with your parcel.

2. How long do you take to deal with a return?
We treat all returns with the same priority as your first order.

1. How secure is your web site (were I to share private information with you)?

2. Do you make my details available to any other companies?
We only ever make your details available to a third party with your permission. Our order form asks for your instruction on this matter. If you ask us not to share any of your personal details with a third party, then we are careful not to do so.

Other Services


1. Where is your shop?
We are located in the Fife village of Strathmiglo, which is approximately 5 miles east from junction 8 of the M90, in the direction of St Andrews. We are situated in the centre of the village, next to the clock tower. Please view the Retail Shop page for more details.

2. Can you help advise on footwear repairs?
We no longer operate our own footwear repair workshop. However, we can confidently recommend Twigg Shoe Services, 22 Abbey St, Carlisle CA3 8TX, Tel 01228 515 654, for all your footwear repair and refurbishment work. Please send you repairs directly to Andy Twigg, at Twigg Shoe Services, detailing the work required and your preferred method of payment, remembering to include your return address. Repair prices are no higher than they were from our own workshop, and in some cases are lower. Price quotations are available in advance and the quality of work performed is second to none.
